This includes the roles of Imperial units and individual servicemen and women (as well as their families) in Bermuda and of Bermudian-raised units and Bermudians serving locally or overseas, as well as of the United States armed forces in Bermuda.

Afflare Films (http://www.afflarefilms.com) has produced this documentary film, directed by Lucinda Spurling, about the wartime service of Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps officer Major Anthony Frith Smith. The film, which has already won awards at the Houston Film Festival (http://www.royalgazette.com/article/20130424/NEWS/704249954) and the Southampton International Film Festival (http://bernews.com/2013/10/victory-film-claims-another-film-festival-award), is based on a book (itself based on Major Smith's wartime letters home) written by his grandson, former Commissioner of the Bermuda Police Service Jonathan Smith, published by TenTen Publications, PO Box HM 1010, Hamilton HM DX, Bermuda.
